Manuscript Consultation Program

Biennial Festival

Writers Unleashed is an entirely volunteer-run festival. For twelve years we have kept our festival running without the aid of arts or government funding or significant sponsorship, fuelled by coffee, passion, and friendship.

To ensure the long-term financial viability of the festival, and to avoid the burnout of our dedicated volunteer team, we have made the difficult decision to convert the festival to a biennial event. This means the festival will run every two years, rather than annually.

A huge thank you to all our festival supporters and friends for cheering us on all this time!

Applications to appear as part of the festival are currently closed. Keep an eye out on our social media to find out when the festival will re-open for pitches.
